about sarah

At the core of what I do, I yearn to create beauty and make a difference. I believe I was called to make a positive impact on this world, through photography and giving back. Pretty pictures are nice, but my true passion is helping my clients leave a legacy.  Through this unforgettable season in your life...

I consider it an honor to document your love and capture intimate, fleeting moments in time.

I'm a Northern California luxury wedding photographer, blogger, wife and mother. Most days, you'll find me searching for new recipes to try, exploring DIY projects to create or attempting a new yoga pose that will probably leave me flat on my face. In all areas of life, I strive to push myself outside of my comfort zone and embrace every new opportunity to improve my craft.

I enjoy peaceful, early mornings with my coffee and a devotional ...which is usually interrupted by two adorable little people climbing on my legs, ready for their morning snuggles with Mama. My two daughters are my world and have given photography a new meaning for me.

I'm a visual story-teller who is passionate about photographing authentic, honest love stories for couples who are madly in love.

I've always had a huge heart for others, and as a result, I do everything in my power to make sure your wedding day is everything you imagined it would be. I strive to create the absolute best experience with my clients and I look forward to hearing about your love story!

The Team

Our beautiful chaos started in college where I met the strangest, orangest haired freshman (FYI I was a super cool junior) who has turned into the most amazing, supportive, and loving husband for which a girl could ask.  Austin is trained as an architect but doubles as my second shooter, social media guru, cheerleader and so much more! I love him so much I could bust! :)

Well, first came love, then marriage and then two beautiful little baby girls.  I love being a mama!   Even though it is THE hardest management job out there (Forbes says so) I wouldn't trade it for anything.  Avila and Nora have the job of bringing endless hugs and giggles to the house, saying the silliest things and building my brain with mind games... (I'm afraid for teendom).

And what's a family without a few animals.  Annabelle came to me with a ring on her collar and, obviously, I said YES :)   Sampson came because Annabelle needed a friend with the new baby around.  Yes, we bought our dog a pet.   Finally, last year, Austin surprised me with 8 chicks for my birthday.  They are in charge of breakfast and doing a wonderful job laying at least 5 eggs a day. And yes you must know their names: Penguin, Spider, Robin, Apple, Meat Sauce, Daffodil, Jack and Nita.

If you want to know how we came up with those ridiculous chicken names make your way to the Contact page, shoot me an email and lets grab some coffee and talk weddings and chickens! Lol! Or just weddings if you'd rather...

Giving Back

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.

William Shakespeare

I have been BLESSED with a talent for taking pretty pictures, a love for creating art and a passion for helping the helpless and rescuing the defenseless. As a little girl, I wanted to rescue abused and neglected horses and fill them back up with love and meaning.  Now that I've seen a little more of the world and have had two of my own beautiful little girls that desire to RESCUE the abused and neglected has migrated toward children.

I am HONORED to be your photographer because love is such a beautiful and important thing to capture but I want to also THANK YOU because when you choose to bestow this honor on me I am able to pour more of my resources into the children who yearn for love of their own.  When you have printed and framed your beautiful wedding photos you can admire them for the memories as well as the impact they had on children who are trapped in desperate situations.

A sizable portion of your investment in me will be donated to one of the charities I LOVE.  Some of those include: International Justice Mission, World Vision and Rahab's Rope.  And ultimitley, my GRAND dream is that one day I can open a rescue ranch where both children, trafficking survivors and horses can find refuge and love, so a portion of your investment will also be set aside for that vision.

from the bottom of my heart...

thank you

Kind Words

Sarah was absolutely incredible. She was very creative, but was open to our ideas for pictures. The photos she took at our wedding are some of the most precious keepsakes we will ever possess. We even had one etched into aluminum! If you are searching for an unparalleled photographer for any occasion, you need look no further. You want Sarah.
