The Grand Opening!

I'd like to announce the grand opening of our chicken coop! My wonderful husband, Austin, bought me 8 baby chicks for my birthday in October last year and those babies grew so fast! They've been living in our garage that whole time and as much as I loved hearing clucking chickens through our bedroom wall in the mornings it was time to move them to bigger and better (and more spacious) living. Yesterday we put the finishing touches on the coop and they spent their first night there and I'm happy to say they survived! So far so good. And we even had one fresh egg in the nesting box this afternoon! Everyone had better be ready for serious amounts of egg salad sandwiches :) Next thing on the list is to talk Austin into buying some lambs... I'll keep you updated on my progress ;)
